ROCKFORD (WREX)- Sometimes workers need a little extra boost of energy before starting work. Pierce Distribution has created a morning wake-up program called “stretch ‘n flex.”
Each morning at 8 a.m. employees get together at the warehouse and take part in the program.
It includes calf stretches, neck rolls and yoga poses.
The program’s goal is to encourage physical fitness for its employees inside and outside of work.
“It benefits you personally,” said Lois Patmythes, the HR Coordinator for Pierce Distribution. “As you age, your body slows down and it gets harder to do things. It keeps your mobility up.”
The company says it has had 100% participation since April.
